Position Summary

The Junior Construction Project Manager will be an integral part of the Company’s Operations team. This person will help us achieve our ambitious growth goals by supporting the Construction Project Manager on construction projects, specifically renovations, additions and new builds. Responsibilities will include assisting with planning, scheduling, budgeting, managing contractors and ensuring safety regulations and quality standards are met.  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, an eye for detail, and demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve problems in a quick and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects in various locations, from project identification through design, planning, approval, permit issuance, construction and completion
  • Ensure projects are properly documented and coordinate revisions and distributions
  • Prepare project status reports including status update, budget, and schedule for project management team and upper management
  • Handle change requests to determine impact on scope of project including budget and scheduling
  • Track progress of each project and report on milestones against goals, budget, and deliverables
  • Explain complex issues and advise on construction related matters to local leadership teams
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with clients, A&E professionals, contractors/GC’s, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Develop scope of work for a project based on clinic needs and wants
  • Adheres to the company’s policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned, including special projects

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in construction or design, and ability to manage multiple projects from start to finish
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic reasoning, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of construction trade practices, permitting considerations and safety requirements sufficient to manage all phases of project planning, construction and renovation
  • Experience managing a large volume of construction projects
  • Exceptional communication, project control and organization skills with sound judgment in resolving matters of high complexity across multiple departments
  • Skilled in long- and short-term planning
  • Analytical ability to resolve challenges with permanent and temporary solutions
  • Demonstrated history of success in leading a team and managing multiple projects, including the ability to monitor, adjust and maintain scope, schedule and budget for medium to large size projects under multiple delivery methods, such as Design Assist, Design Build, Design/Bid/Build, etc.
  • Be willing to travel up to 50% of time within United States

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email and phone
  • The person in this position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers in the office
  • Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry

Technical Skills:

  • Must have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • AutoCAD and Design experience is a plus

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $80,000-85,000 per year
