Position Summary

The Information Technology Project Coordinator will be an integral part of the Company’s Operations team. This person will help us achieve our ambitious growth goals by coordinating IT projects at our veterinary clinics across the country. Using their background in IT, the person in this position will assist in oversee a wide array of IT projects and assist in developing policies and procedures for individual locations.  The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and time management skills, an eye for detail, and demonstrate the ability to identify and resolve problems in a quick and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate IT upgrade projects for our veterinary clinics across the country including clinic rewires, network equipment upgrades, and internet/phone upgrades
  • Coordinate with third party Managed Service Providers (MSPs) for provisioning of equipment and end-user support
  • Work with Corporate IT and MSPs to develop standard operations procedures (SOPs) for clinic locations
  • Assist in budgeting for clinical IT projects and help reduce expenses across locations
  • Intake, coordination, and prioritization of IT requests for our veterinary practices
  • Work with software vendors to provide support for clinic practice management software
  • Document and maintain detail on all clinic IT infrastructure and third-party software programs
  • Maintain portfolio of domain names including keeping web domains active, registered, stable and secured from threats
  • Act as a liaison between corporate operations, field team, and corporate IT
  • Recommend solutions to clinics that align with corporate technological policies, strategies, and initiatives
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including special projects

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-3 years of work experience desired
  • 2+ years of experience in IT administration
  • Experience preferred in veterinary or similar industry
  • Strong understanding of IT Operations (ITOps) and how it can apply to medium/small businesses. Understanding of the ITIL framework and the Service Value System a plus.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic reasoning, and creative problem-solving skills
  • Analytical ability to resolve challenges with permanent and temporary solutions

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with managers at remote locations using email and phone
  • The person in this position frequently communicates and collaborates with co-workers in the office
  • Frequent keyboarding/use of computer for data entry

Technical Skills:

  • Experience administering Azure and Office 365
  • Experience administering on-premises Active Directory domains
  • Experience administering email and web domains
  • Experience in veterinary practice management software such as AVImark and Cornerstone (preferred)
  • Experience with cloud-based practice management software such as DaySmart Vet, EzyVet, and Covetrus Pulse (preferred)
